The
2010 Mount Eden Chardonnay is due to be released in April of this year. There
are still a few "futures" available at pre-release discounts.
This is a unique Chardonnay that features tropical fruit flavors, asian pear, and a hint of pinapple together with a buttery finish and just the right amount of toasted oak.
Taste it at one of our upcoming tastings. Only 59 cases were produced so don't wait too long to get your stock of this delicious white. It should go great with a warm summer but promises to sell out soon.
The 2008 Estate Red wines are now bottled and due for release this summer.
This includes a very limited supply of the 2008 Cabernet Franc and 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the hill here ar Big Dog Ranch.
The 2009 Estate Cabernet is also in the bottle awaiting release this summer. It commemorates the winery's first "Big Dog" who was named "Cab".
As such this wine will be called "Cab's Cab". This splendid wine is a fitting tribute from all of us at Big Dog Vineyards. Its a silky and large Cabernet that will fill your glass with wonderful flavors and great memories of those times often larger than life.

The county is considering changes to their policies that would allow smaller wineries in Santa Clara County to host special events such as live music, barrel tasting events, Passport weekends, and harvest parties. We're hoping this will go through because presently these events are specifically not allowed in Santa Clara County without prohibitively expensive Use Permits These proposed changes will also open up other hospitality functions at wineries such as charity fund raising events, limited food preparation, and even allow for small scale B&B rooms at the vineyard.
