Reservations During Tasting Hours:

We do not host events for guests under 21 years of age

As of October 1st, 2019, Big Dog Vineyards is a 21 and up facility.

We do not allow groups larger than 10 guests, with or without a reservation. If you have more than 10 people, please read below about our private tastings and events.

$15 per person: This fee applies regardless of age and whether or not each guest is drinking.

This amount is a minimum purchase amount per group, and can be but towards bottles or tastings. For example, if you have ten people, you have $150 (before tax) to spend on bottles or tastings for the group. If you have not spent the minimum by the end of the day, you are welcome to use the balance on bottles to take home. This amount reserves the space for the entire five hour period that we are open. Please be mindful of the fact that we close at 5:00, and cannot open bottles or pour wine after 4:30.

We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to confirm a group reservation. We limit the amount of space that can be reserved in advance, and the reservation is not complete until we have received this deposit. The remaining amount is due the day of the event, at which point the amount can be altered to reflect an increase or decrease in guest count (with the total amount not to be less than the original deposit). In the event of inclement weather, we can refund the deposit, or put it toward a future event or purchase.

You are permitted to bring your own food. Outside alcohol is prohibited by law: should guests bring in outside alcohol, they will be asked to leave, and the deposit will not be refunded. We don’t provide extra tables for food, guests are expected to keep their food and belongings on the tables they have reserved.

Private Tastings (Outside of Tasting Hours)

If you can't make the tasting on the weekends, or if you have more than 10 guests in your group, consider scheduling a private appointment. 

We'll select a flight of six of our wines according to the tastes of your group, and talk you through each one. 

Private tastings are $25 per person, and typically last about 1- 1 1/2 hours. There is a 2 hour maximum.

There is no minimum number of guests. 

Outside food or beverages are not permitted.

This is a tasting only, and we can not pour glasses or open bottles.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve a date. Please make appointment requests through the contact box above.

If you're interested in staying longer, having more than just a taste, or bringing food or a caterer, continue to our private event information below. 


Staff fees:

$25/hour/25 guests, including an hour before and after the event

Minimum 2 staff

For example, if you have 100 people from 6-10, we need to pay four people to assist with the event from 5-11, totaling $600.

For events over 75 people, there will be a $50 parking attendant fee.


Outside vendors such as caterers and musicians or DJs must be approved in advance.

Private Events

(Full Venue Rental, Outside of Tasting Hours)


Venue fees:

Events ending before 6:00 PM: $200

Events ending after 6:00 PM Monday-Thursday: $500

Events ending after 6:00 PM Friday: $750

Events ending after 6:00 PM Saturday-Sunday: $1000

This includes:

Reservation of the entire space (winery, patio, stage) for four hours

4 six-foot tables and coverings (black)

Small seating tables and white folding chairs

Sound system with 3.5mm hookup


Additional offerings:

Heat lamps are $125 for four

Fire pit is $50

Time restrictions:

All amplified audio must end at 10:00

Our latest event end time is 11:00

Events lasting beyond the scheduled time with incur a charge of $100 per half hour.


A 50% deposit of the total amount is required to reserve an event date. The remaining 50% will be due the day of the event.
